Orthopaedic Clinic of Daytona Beach installs its fifth IDC digital radiography system
CALGARY, March 10 /CNW/ - Imaging Dynamics Company Ltd. (IDC) (TSX: IDL),
a global leader in the high growth market for digital radiography (DR)
technology, today announced that it has completed the installation of its
fifth digital radiography system, the 1600 Plus X-Series with X3C technology,
at the Orthopaedic Clinic of Daytona Beach in Port Orange, Florida. The
Orthopaedic Clinic of Daytona Beach consists of four locations in the State of
Florida; two in Daytona Beach, one in Palm Coast, and the newest facility in
Port Orange.
The Orthopaedic Clinic of Daytona Beach (OCDB) facilities collectively
utilize two 1590 X-Series and three 1600 Plus X-Series IDC DR systems to
accommodate their growing practice and patient imaging needs.
"The decision to purchase our fifth digital radiography system from IDC
was an easy one. Our technologists enjoy using the IDC systems and the
addition of the 1600 Plus X-Series system at the Port Orange facility
complements the four existing IDC DR systems in use at our other practices,"
states John Heckert, Clinic Administrator for the OCDB facilities. "The IDC DR
systems deliver the throughput and image quality that our surgeons expect and
allow us to continue to improve overall patient care which is a key focus for
the OCDB facilities."
IDC partnered on this account with its regional distributor, Excel
Imaging; who is a provider of advanced imaging equipment and support services
for medical practices in the southeastern United States.
"The Excel Imaging team has been excellent to work with. They have
surpassed our expectations on this installation by ensuring all aspects of the
project from the initial order through to end-user training on the system were
handled efficiently given the short installation timeframe for our newest
office." stated Heckert.
Steve Hayes, President of Excel Imaging states, "Together, IDC and Excel
were able to meet the customer's short delivery schedule and the system
installation went very smoothly under the direction of our lead engineer
Guillermo Torres." Hayes continued, "The image quality achieved with the IDC
DR technology is excellent and Excel Imaging is pleased to be able to provide
a high level of customer support of the IDC DR systems for all of the
Orthopaedic Clinic of Daytona Beach facilities.
"The installation of this fifth IDC DR system with the Orthopaedic Clinic
of Daytona Beach is a strong testament to IDC's DR technology and value
proposition," states Tom Boon, IDC President and CEO. "IDC is focused on
providing its orthopaedic customers with an optimal solution to meet their
growing DR needs. We are pleased to have the Excel Imaging team dedicated to
providing a high level of service and support to the IDC DR customers in their
region."
